Honduras Capital Removes 198,000 Tons of Garbage Jan-Aug

Tegucigalpa has seen a significant cleanup effort, with municipal authorities removing 198,000 tons of garbage from the capital city between January and August. Denovan Galicia, manager of microenterprises for the Municipal Mayor's Office of the Central District (AMDC), announced the figures.

Currently, 18 daily operations are underway to eliminate mosquito breeding sites, collecting hundreds of tons of waste each day. Galicia urged residents to manage their waste responsibly and keep public spaces clean.
