Hong Wei-zhe's concert features surprise dance, shoe mishap

Singer Hong Wei-zhe held his solo concert at Taipei Legacy on Saturday, featuring a surprise performance by the cast of the drama "Wishing We Who Wish Upon a Star." The "Meteor Four", Yu Jie-en, Kaga Kota, Chu Meng-xuan, and Zhong Yue-xuan, were unexpectedly called on stage to perform a "coquettish dance," much to their surprise. "We didn't agree to this part!" they exclaimed, eliciting cheers from the audience. Hong Wei-zhe quipped that his concerts are always full of surprises.

Reflecting on the performance, Hong Wei-zhe expressed gratitude to the organizers for providing a platform for young singers. He described the concert as a return to the essence of his voice, allowing him to convey emotions more directly and delicately. He noted that out of his eight solo songs, only one is a dance track, with the rest being drama OSTs. "While I will explore various musical styles and prepare for my new album, I won't give up my title as the 'OST Prince,'" he stated.

Hong Wei-zhe also announced a new single to be released in mid-July, which he debuted during the encore. However, as the show concluded, he stumbled and accidentally dropped his shoe on stage. The unexpected mishap led to an awkward moment as he had to retrieve his large leather shoe before bidding farewell to the audience. Fans captured the humorous incident, and when asked about his embarrassment, Hong Wei-zhe laughed, saying, "I thought, how could this be so embarrassing? But then I thought, at least I didn't hit a wrong note. It doesn't really matter; as long as everyone had fun at the concert!"
