Horacio Rodríguez Larreta and Milagros Maylin welcome son Justo

Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, the former head of government for the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, and his wife Milagros Maylin have welcomed their first child together, a son named Justo. The baby's arrival marks a significant personal milestone for the couple, occurring seven months after their November 2024 wedding.

Justo is Rodríguez Larreta's third child overall. He is already father to Paloma, born in 2002, and Serena, born in 2016, from his previous marriage to Bárbara Diez. The birth of Justo signifies the arrival of the first boy into Rodríguez Larreta's family.

For Maylin, 40, this is her first experience with motherhood. A communications graduate, she has had a career in public service, including roles such as director of the Third Age in the City and director of Management Control in Buenos Aires province. She previously expressed in an interview her desire to start a family, stating she had postponed it for her career until meeting Rodríguez Larreta.

Maylin also spoke about her relationship with Rodríguez Larreta's daughters, noting that while building a new family dynamic isn't always easy, she found it smooth. She met Paloma and Serena in 2023 and emphasized their importance to both her and Rodríguez Larreta, stating her intention was always to integrate and unite the family, ensuring the girls felt comfortable.

Building a new relationship isn't always easy; however, I had no difficulty. Although we were already dating, I only met them in 2023. Respecting the timing was the right thing to do. The girls are the most important thing Horacio has, and for me too.

The couple's relationship began in the workplace during Rodríguez Larreta's tenure in the city government. Their bond reportedly grew through extensive phone conversations, and they shared work spaces related to the Third Age Secretariat between 2020 and 2021 before their relationship turned romantic. Maylin supported Rodríguez Larreta's political activities, including his presidential campaign, after he left public office in 2022. Their wedding ceremony in 2024 had both civil and religious components, with the civil ceremony coinciding with a date significant to Maylin's religious devotion.
