In a recently released behind-the-scenes feature, Ito himself watched clips of the series. He expressed surprise at the depiction of a slug, exclaiming, "That slug was bigger than I imagined!" He also marveled at how the character's tongue "shot out so quickly." Ito shared a peculiar habit: "I have a bad habit, I actually laugh when I see scary scenes!"

Ito lauded the director and production team for successfully integrating elements from his various classic short stories into a single series. He stated, "I am very grateful to the director and team for producing such an excellent series.
