The American hospital drama "The Pitt" has garnered an impressive 25 nominations for this year's Emmy Awards. The series, which airs on HBO Max, focuses on the daily lives within a Pittsburgh hospital, with each episode unfolding in real-time. This haul of nominations places "The Pitt" among the most recognized shows of the year. The Emmy Awards ceremony is scheduled for September 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The list of nominations, revealed on Wednesday, also highlighted the fifth and final season of the comedy series "Hacks," which secured 24 nominations, also available on HBO Max. "The Pitt" tackles a range of sensitive and topical issues, including abortion rights, immigration policy changes, and mass shootings. Although it had a slow start, the series eventually became a widely discussed show. Among shorter series (10 episodes or less), Netflix's "Beef" leads with 16 nominations.
