Hotel Adlon to be sold for at least 280 million euros

The legendary Hotel Adlon, situated at Berlin's Pariser Platz, is slated for sale by the Jagdfeld Group for a minimum of 280 million euros. This significant transaction, however, hinges on the approval of the fund's investors. The hotel is managed under the Jagdfeld Group's Fundus-Fonds 31, which comprises approximately 4,000 owners, predominantly private individuals nearing an age where they wish to divest their assets.

Jagdfeld stated that the sale aligns with the investors' desires, aiming to secure the highest possible price. The group emphasized its strong financial position, allowing them to initiate this sale "freely and of their own volition," transferring Germany's most famous hotel to new ownership. The proposal to the shareholders suggests a fund liquidation with a floor price of 280 million euros.

With the intended sale, we best fulfill the wishes of the investors and are thus able to achieve the highest possible price.

A 75 percent majority of votes is required for the sale to proceed. Should it be approved, an international broker will manage a structured bidding process. For hotel guests, the potential change in ownership will not bring immediate alterations. The Jagdfeld Group confirmed an existing lease agreement with the hotel operator, Kempinski, which extends through the end of 2032.
