Houthi Attack Targets Yemeni Military Camps, Defense Ministry Reports

Yemen's Ministry of Defense reported that Houthi forces launched a coordinated assault using ballistic missiles and drones against several military camps and units in the Marib and Hadhramaut provinces. The ministry stated that the attacks occurred while armed forces personnel were engaged in their duties, securing liberated territories and international routes, and countering what they described as the militia's "schemes and smuggling networks."

The ministry's statement indicated that the strikes led to the deaths and injuries of soldiers stationed at the targeted locations. These casualties, it noted, hailed from various governorates across Yemen. The Ministry of Defense characterized the offensive as a "new crime," asserting that it underscores the Houthis' continued targeting of Yemenis. The statement also pledged that the Yemeni armed forces would respond to this aggression at an "appropriate time and place."

Despite the attacks, the ministry emphasized that the assaults would not diminish the resolve or capabilities of the armed forces. Instead, it suggested the incidents would strengthen their determination to continue defending the republic and restoring state institutions. Concluding its statement, the Ministry of Defense mourned the fallen soldiers, extended condolences to their families, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, affirming that the sacrifices made would fuel further military operations.
