After completing two rounds, Hovland sits eight strokes under par, showcasing impressive form heading into the weekend's final two rounds.

Hovland's latest round was particularly notable, featuring a flawless scorecard with six birdies and zero bogeys. This clean performance earned him a score of 64, six strokes under par for the day. Experts praised his play, with HBO Max analyst Henrik Bjørnstad commenting on his "convincing golf" and Marius Thorp highlighting the "64 beautiful golf strokes."

Meanwhile, world number one Scottie Scheffler also made a significant impact on Friday. Scheffler matched a course record by shooting nine strokes under par, taking a commanding lead in the tournament at eleven strokes under par. The FedEx St. Jude Championship, the first of three playoff events, is being broadcast live on Eurosport Norge and HBO Max.
