How is El Chavo del 8 actress Rosita Bouchot doing after emergency hospitalization?

Rosita Bouchot, remembered as Paty in El Chavo del 8, entered a hospital on Sept. 1 for a scheduled operation.

The Mexican actress confirmed the hospitalization on social media by posting a photograph of herself in a hospital gown shortly before the procedure, which was scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Official sources had not specified the reason for the surgery or given an exact diagnosis.

Bouchot said she was stable and optimistic about her recovery. The health issue came two days after she celebrated her 75th birthday with her family. She also asked her followers for prayers and positive messages.

Bouchot joined Televisa’s cast in 1975 to play Paty. Her television career also included El Chapulín Colorado, as well as telenovelas and films from the period.

Born in Mexico City on Aug. 30, 1951, Bouchot is an actress, singer and screenwriter. In El Chapulín Colorado, she played the Minina’s maid and the slave Artritis in the episode “La que nace pa’ Cleopatra no pasa de Julio César.”
