How much will KYK student accommodation cost in 2026-2027?

Students preparing to begin university in Turkey are waiting for two pieces of information: their KYK dormitory application results and the fees they will pay during the 2026-2027 academic year.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports, known as GSB, has not yet officially announced the new accommodation charges. Once the ministry publishes the rates, the updated figures are expected to be added to the information being followed by students and their families.

The dormitories are divided into six types. Type 1 and Type 2 facilities generally have rooms for six to eight students and provide basic accommodation and security, along with breakfast and dinner. Type 3 and Type 4 dormitories offer rooms for two to four students, depending on their size. These rooms may include desks, refrigerators and, in some facilities, bookcases. Bathrooms and toilets can be shared in some dormitories.

Type 5 and Type 6 facilities offer a higher level of comfort and amenities. They include rooms for one, two or three students, with bathrooms and toilets located inside the rooms. The article does not provide the 2026-2027 fees because GSB has yet to release them.
