How to apply for Indian passport renewal appointment in UAE

Indian expats in the UAE can now book appointments for passport renewal through a new online system, according to a notice issued by the Indian Consulate on Friday, July 10.

The rollout of Consular, Passport and Visa (CPV) services by Tours & Travels has been temporarily deferred until further notice. These services, initially scheduled to commence on July 1, were postponed due to "administrative reasons" as communicated by the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi.

Expats are advised to use the online portal book.passportindiauae.com to secure an appointment. The process involves registering on the website, verifying an email address, logging in, selecting the relevant consular jurisdiction (Consulate General of India in Dubai or Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi), filling in personal details, and choosing an available slot. The Indian mission in the UAE will no longer accept walk-in applications for passport renewal services.

The consulate also emphasized that BLS International and SGIVS Global are no longer authorized to provide any consular services. Applicants must complete the passport renewal form online before booking an appointment and bring a copy with them.
