How to Check Social Welfare Desil Online: Understanding Levels 1 to 10

Indonesian citizens can now easily check their family's social welfare classification, known as 'desil,' through the official website of the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos). This online service allows individuals to independently verify their desil level, which is a crucial component of the National Social and Economic Single Data (DTSEN).

The DTSEN serves as a foundational dataset for the government in identifying recipients for various social protection programs. While desil data is often associated with the distribution of social assistance, it is important to note that the desil number itself does not directly indicate an individual's income level nor does it automatically guarantee eligibility for aid.

To check one's desil, individuals can visit the official 'Cek Bansos Kemensos' website at cekbansos.kemensos.go.id. The process requires users to enter their 16-digit National Identity Number (NIK) as it appears on their KTP (Indonesian National ID card). Users must also input the provided captcha code, with an option to refresh it if it is unclear.

Upon successful submission of the NIK and captcha, the system will display the available data, including the user's desil group and their status regarding social assistance programs. The data used for this verification process is sourced from the DTSEN, ensuring an official and up-to-date record.
