How UAE residents can update phone numbers and personal data online

Residents in the United Arab Emirates can now easily update their contact information, including phone number, email address, and residential address, through the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP). This digital service ensures that personal data remains accurate for accessing government services and receiving important notifications.

The 'Update Data' service is available via the ICP's smart services website or its mobile application, eliminating the need for in-person visits to service centers. To use the service, individuals must log in using their UAE Pass digital identity and select the 'Update Data' option. They can then specify the information they wish to change, enter the new details, and review them for accuracy.

Once the required changes are made and submitted, users must pay a fee of 50 UAE dirhams for the smart services. The data is automatically updated in the ICP systems upon completion of the steps and payment. This process does not require the submission of additional documents for non-essential data updates.

Family members' data can also be updated through the sponsor's or head of household's personal account. The service is accessible 24/7, offering convenience to residents. It's important to distinguish this service from modifications to residency permit data, which may involve different procedures, fees, and documentation if core information or details on the ID card itself need alteration.
