The British University in Egypt: First Choice for 17 of Egypt’s Top Thanaweya Amma Graduates

The British University in Egypt (BUE) celebrated its newest cohort of high-achieving students, including 17 top graduates from Egypt's national Thanaweya Amma examinations who have accepted full scholarships. The university, in partnership with the Mohamed Farid Khamis Foundation for Community Development, hosted a ceremony to honor these academically elite students and their families.

These seventeen scholars represent a significant draw for BUE, positioning it as a preferred destination for Egypt's brightest minds. Their applications span diverse fields, including Dentistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, Law, Informatics, Arts and Humanities, Economics, and Business Administration. The university's appeal lies in its distinctive British-style education, emphasizing a 'learning by doing' philosophy and adherence to UK academic standards.

Graduates from BUE receive two degrees: one validated by Egypt's Supreme Council of Universities and another from a distinguished UK partner university, such as London South Bank University or Manchester Metropolitan University. This dual-degree model enhances graduates' competitiveness in both domestic and international job markets. BUE is also the first university in Egypt and North Africa to receive accreditation from the UK's Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), underscoring its commitment to international academic quality.

The comprehensive scholarship covers tuition fees, application and administrative costs, and provides a monthly living stipend. It also includes accommodation and transport for students residing outside Cairo and Giza, ensuring a supportive environment for their academic journey, provided they maintain a 'Very Good' cumulative score.
