Hsinchu County honors outstanding graduates, including young baseball star and double gold medalist

Hsinchu County in Taiwan celebrated its outstanding graduates, recognizing 532 students for their achievements in academics, character, and talent. The awards ceremony, held at the county government hall, highlighted the accomplishments of young individuals poised to embark on the next stage of their educational journeys.

County Magistrate Yang Wen-ko personally presented the awards, congratulating the students and thanking their teachers and parents for their support. He urged the graduates to bravely pursue their dreams and to cultivate independent thinking and problem-solving skills, essential for navigating the challenges of the AI era.

This year's recipients included notable talents such as Lu Ren-hao, a fifth-grade student from Wufeng Elementary School. Lu is a standout U12 baseball player who has demonstrated exceptional skill, including a no-hitter game with 11 strikeouts. He balances his passion for baseball with his studies, aspiring to a professional career.

Another distinguished awardee is Luo Ching, a student from Xin Feng Junior High School. Luo recently won two gold medals in the 100m and 300m sprint events at the National Para-Sports Games, successfully defending her titles. She brought her medals to the ceremony to share her pride, embodying a spirit of resilience and determination.

Education Bureau Director Tsai Shu-chen expressed hope that all award recipients would carry their honor and confidence forward. She encouraged them to continue innovating, sharing their talents, and becoming significant forces in society.
