Media personality Huang Kuang-chiu has escalated her public dispute with Taiwan People's Party Chairman Huang Kuo-chang, accusing him of offering legislative influence to a prominent political figure. Huang Kuo-chang, however, has refuted these claims, asserting that the narrative presented by Huang Kuang-chiu distorts the facts of their alleged conversation.

The controversy centers on a meeting where Huang Kuo-chang reportedly proposed that if legislator Yang Chiung-ying aimed for the vice speakership of the Legislative Yuan, his party's eight legislative seats could be utilized by elder statesman Liao Liao-yi. Liao, described as a wise political operator, allegedly declined the offer, questioning the feasibility of influencing other legislators.

Huang Kuo-chang's response, characterized by Huang Kuang-chiu as an attempt to "tell only half the story," involved denying a direct conversation while not outright refuting the substance of the alleged offer.
