Hugo Dellien Eliminated from US Open Qualifying

Bolivian tennis player Hugo Dellien's campaign at the US Open has come to an end after he was defeated in the second round of the qualifying stages. Dellien lost to 19-year-old Italian Federico Cinà in a hard-fought three-set match, with the final score at 6-3, 5-7, 7-5.

The match was a closely contested affair, reflecting the statistics that showed both players hitting four aces and Dellien serving at a higher percentage on his first serves. Dellien managed to win the second set after dropping the first, pushing the match to a decisive third set where Cinà ultimately prevailed.

Dellien had started his qualifying run positively, defeating Tunisia's Moez Echargui in straight sets in the first round. However, he was unable to replicate that success against Cinà, falling short of a spot in the main draw of the season's final Grand Slam.

Despite the elimination, Dellien's participation marks his return to competing in one of tennis's four major tournaments. He successfully navigated the first round and put up a strong fight in a demanding three-set encounter, concluding his US Open journey for this year.
