Hundreds Celebrate Angklung Festival in Ciamis

The town square of Ciamis, West Java, resonated with the harmonious sounds of angklung as hundreds of participants came together for Gebyar Angklung Part 2. This vibrant event was organized to celebrate the 46th anniversary of the Persatuan Wredatama Republik Indonesia (PWRI), bringing together civil servants and retired civil servants in a shared cultural endeavor.

A total of 465 participants, comprising active and retired state civil apparatus (ASN) members, showcased their musical talents. They performed a repertoire of songs using the angklung, a traditional Sundanese musical instrument. The event served not only as a commemoration of the PWRI's anniversary but also as a significant effort to preserve the rich Sundanese cultural heritage.

The mass angklung performance was met with enthusiastic appreciation from the large crowd that had gathered to witness the spectacle. Organizers expressed hope that Gebyar Angklung Part 2 would foster a spirit of cultural preservation among the younger generation, ensuring the continuation of traditional arts.

Beyond celebrating the PWRI's anniversary and promoting cultural preservation, the event also served as an important platform for intergenerational connection and strengthening the regional identity of West Java through its unique musical traditions.
