Hundreds Join Palestine Solidarity Rally in Bandung

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in Bandung's Jalan Asia Afrika on Saturday to voice their solidarity with Palestine and protest the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Organized by the Mujahidah Palestina group, the rally drew attention to what they described as genocide and a continuing humanitarian crisis.

Protesters carried Palestinian flags, posters, and banners, calling for an immediate cessation of violence against civilians in Gaza. The demonstrations also focused on the presence of foreign nationals from Israel, including former Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers, residing in Bali, which participants deemed worthy of government attention.

This marks another instance of solidarity actions in Bandung throughout 2026, as various communities have organized similar events to express concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Through speeches and visual displays, participants urged the public not to forget the plight of Palestinian civilians affected by the prolonged conflict and to continue advocating for a peaceful resolution.

The rally underscored the deep concern among some Indonesian communities regarding the situation in Palestine, linking humanitarian issues with broader geopolitical concerns and calling for continued international attention and action.
