Hundreds of candy enthusiasts braved long waits, with some queuing overnight, for the grand opening of Swedish confectionery brand Bubs' first Finnish pop-up store in Helsinki's city center. The highly anticipated launch on Keskuskatu saw queues stretching for hundreds of meters, demonstrating the brand's significant popularity. Lotta Hakkarainen, 19, and Lotta Mulli, 20, were among the first in line, having arrived the previous evening. They cited the candy's "insanely good" taste and texture as the primary draw, with Hakkarainen adding that the promise of a gift bag for the first 100 customers also influenced their decision to wait. The appeal of Bubs candies extends beyond taste, with many customers appreciating their soft, chewy consistency. Beyond the taste and texture, Bubs candies are also noted for being vegan and suitable for a wide range of consumers, eliminating the need to scrutinize ingredient lists. This inclusivity, coupled with the availability of unique flavors not typically found in bulk candy selections, contributes to their widespread appeal. This Helsinki store marks Bubs' third physical retail location globally, with the other two situated in New York and Stockholm.
