Hungarian Broadcaster M1 to Resume News Programs Mid-August

Hungary's public broadcaster, MTVA, has outlined its autumn programming schedule, confirming that news broadcasts will return to the M1 channel in the second half of August. Since the appointment of a new interim leadership, the channel has been airing a selection of classic Hungarian films and series as transitional content.

The broadcaster stated that nearly a hundred programs are set to return to the screen as part of the autumn schedule. While some program titles have been revealed, the full lineup, including additional returning shows and anticipated new content, will be communicated to the press and the public soon. The final program structure is still being finalized.

In parallel, Kossuth Radio has resumed its services, including the midday bell chime. Its programming has initially focused on cultural content. The full relaunch of news services on M1 and its digital platforms is planned for the latter half of August, marking a significant step in restoring the channel's core news operations.
