South Korea's housing market is experiencing a broad upswing, with apartment prices rising across the nation. Areas outside of Seoul, particularly mid-priced neighborhoods like Dongdaemun and Seongbuk, are leading the charge. Meanwhile, Hwaseong Dongtan in Gyeonggi Province has emerged as the top performer nationwide, with a remarkable 4.16% surge in apartment prices, fueled by a robust semiconductor industry and transportation improvements.

This surge in sales prices is mirrored in the rental market, with Seoul's apartment rental prices reaching their highest point this year. This dual increase in both sales and rental markets indicates a strong and sustained demand. Buyer sentiment for home sales has also shown consistent improvement, rising for the third month in a row.

Even the high-end apartment market is showing signs of recovery. After a period of adjustment, the KB Leading Apartment 50 Index has turned positive, indicating a rebound. This recovery is attributed to the absorption of distressed properties and a renewed interest following the expiration of a capital gains tax grace period for multiple homeowners. The market anticipates further growth, with the nationwide sales price outlook index also increasing.
