Hyosung Group is strategically channeling its core resources into the burgeoning AI data center sector, as announced by Chairman Cho Hyun-joon. The conglomerate is forging a significant partnership with ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), a rapidly expanding data center operator with a strong presence across Asia and Europe.

This collaboration aims to penetrate the South Korean data center market. The newly formed joint venture, named Hyosung-STT GDC, is set to construct a hyperscale data center in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. This facility is specifically designed to support the increasing demands of cloud computing and artificial intelligence services.

The move signifies Hyosung's commitment to leveraging the global AI boom. By investing in advanced data center infrastructure, the company aims to capture a substantial share of the domestic market, positioning itself as a key player in the nation's digital transformation efforts.
