Hyundai Chairman Chung meets Nvidia CEO Huang in U.S. to discuss robot, AI cooperation

Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Euisun Chung held a meeting with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang at Nvidia's headquarters in Santa Clara, California.

Nvidia shared a photograph on its X account showing the two leaders together. During the meeting, Chung and Huang reportedly continued discussions on cooperative efforts in autonomous driving, robotics, and manufacturing AI. These topics were initially explored during Huang's visit to South Korea in July.

During Huang's previous visit to Seoul, he met with Chairman Chung at Hyundai Motor Group's headquarters. They discussed potential collaborations, including the development of an AI Valley in Saemangeum. Both leaders found common ground on broad cooperation across various sectors such as autonomous driving, robotics, manufacturing AI, and data centers.

Hyundai Motor Group plans to invest 9 trillion won (approximately $7.5 billion) in phases starting this year on a 1.124 million square meter site in Saemangeum. This investment is intended for developing robotics, AI, hydrogen energy, solar power, and AI-driven hydrogen systems.
