Nvidia CEO announces $500 billion partnership with SK Group

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang met with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung in San Francisco, announcing plans for a significant business partnership. Huang revealed that Nvidia and SK Group intend to launch a $500 billion business collaboration, specifically targeting chip and memory design.

The Nvidia CEO also outlined collaborations with Hyundai Motor Group, including the joint development of autonomous driving Genesis vehicles and advancements in robotics. This follows a prior proposal from Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun regarding the "AI Valley" in Saemangeum, to which Huang had agreed, planning for data center construction.

Additionally, Huang announced a substantial investment in Naver, South Korea's leading cloud company. "Naver is, as you know, Korea's leading cloud company," Huang said. "We plan to support expansion not only in Korea but also globally through our partnership." He mentioned that Nvidia is establishing an "AI Frontier Lab" in Korea, with Nvidia's leading AI researchers relocating from California to work on building "Korea AI," in collaboration with KAIST.
