Hyundai i10-sized mobile home transforms into a 20sqm living space

The Mini House, a mobile home from Turkish manufacturer Ortsan Outdoor, offers a unique "transformer" design that expands living space significantly. When on the road, it measures just over 4 meters long, comparable to a Hyundai i10, making it easy to tow. Once parked, a simple button press activates an accordion-like mechanism, extending the sides to create two additional sections covered by durable tarpaulin.

This expansion dramatically increases the usable area from approximately 8.4 square meters to over 20 square meters. Unlike cramped small campers, the Mini House interior is divided into separate functional areas. It includes a full-width bathroom at the front, a long kitchen counter with a 90-liter fridge, a two-burner gas stove, a stainless steel sink, ample storage, and a slide-out dining table. The bathroom space also cleverly incorporates luggage storage.

Designed for independent travel, the Mini House is equipped with a 470W solar power system, a 200Ah lithium battery, and two 200-liter tanks for fresh and wastewater. Comforts include air conditioning, a Webasto diesel heater, a wood-burning stove, and a smart TV. Many functions, from lighting to the expansion mechanism, are controlled via a central tablet. While setup takes longer than traditional caravans, the trade-off is a living space comparable to much larger mobile homes.
