Hyundai's New Seven-Seater Flagship SUV Arrives in Taiwan August 20

Hyundai is set to introduce its redesigned seven-seater flagship SUV, the Palisade, to the Taiwanese market on August 20, following its debut at the 2026 Taipei New Car and New Energy Vehicle Exhibition. This launch marks a significant addition to the country's SUV segment.

The new Palisade boasts an imposing presence with its enlarged dimensions, measuring 5,060 x 1,980 x 1,805 mm and a wheelbase of 2,970 mm. Its exterior is characterized by a prominent, large-sized grille, distinctive split LED headlights, and a sporty bumper with silver trim, projecting a powerful and commanding stance befitting a flagship model.

Inside, the Palisade features a modern, digitized cockpit highlighted by dual 12.3-inch curved screens and a shift-by-wire system. The cabin is appointed with premium leather and ambient lighting, creating a luxurious and minimalist atmosphere. The vehicle maintains its three-row seating configuration, with options for second-row captain's chairs or a first-row center seat, accommodating configurations from 7 to 9 passengers.

Under the hood, the Taiwanese version will feature a newly developed 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain. This system combines a turbocharged gasoline engine with dual electric motors to produce a combined output of 334 horsepower and 46.9 kg-m of torque, promising a balance of strong performance and fuel economy. Both front-wheel and all-wheel-drive variants are expected.
