I’m hungry for more trophies, says new Arsenal defender Ezri Konsa

Ezri Konsa is eager to continue his winning ways after joining Premier League champions Arsenal from Aston Villa for a reported £51 million. The defender signed a four-year contract, with an option for an additional year, and stated his ambition to win more trophies.

He described the move as a privilege, especially after experiencing European success with Aston Villa in his final season. This taste of victory has fueled his desire for more.

Konsa spent seven seasons at Aston Villa, progressing from helping the club survive relegation to winning the Europa League. Joining an Arsenal defense that recorded 19 clean sheets last season, Konsa lauded the team's chemistry and defensive spirit. "The chemistry they have, they all want to defend for each other, the love they have for defending, they love keeping the ball out of the net which is what you have to do as a defender," he observed. He believes his own enthusiasm for defending will complement Mikel Arteta's system, noting his versatility in playing both center-back and right-back.
