I’m reconciling aggrieved APC members, says Oyo gov candidate

Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Oyo State in 2027, is actively working to unite the party's factions. He stated on Monday that reconciliation efforts among aggrieved members are progressing positively, expressing confidence that the APC will present a united front in the upcoming general election.

I’ve held meetings with aspirants, members of the G-6 bloc and other influential party leaders, while President Bola Tinubu has also intervened by engaging former APC governorship candidate, Teslim Folarin, to facilitate reconciliation among aggrieved members.

Alli, who also represents Oyo South Senatorial District, has made party unity a top priority since emerging as the candidate. He has been consulting with key stakeholders across the state. Beyond party politics, Senator Alli outlined his vision for education in Oyo State. He promised to restore quality public education by reducing classroom sizes to a maximum of 30 pupils in primary and secondary schools. His plan includes rehabilitating school infrastructure and ensuring that every child receives free, functional, and quality education from the primary to the secondary level.

Furthermore, Alli intends to revitalize technical and vocational education. This involves establishing and strengthening technical colleges and integrating practical skills training into tertiary institutions. The goal is to equip young people with employable skills, foster entrepreneurship, and ultimately reduce unemployment in the state.
