‘I was their first sponsor, bodyguard,’ P-Square’s brother Henry speaks on family feud

Henry Okore, the elder brother of Nigerian music duo P-Square, has publicly accused their former manager and sibling, Jude Okoye, of being the architect of the family's prolonged rift. In a YouTube interview with Nollyserve, Henry asserted that Jude's character and actions were the root cause of the division, even recalling their late mother's initial reservations about Jude managing the group.

Henry challenged the narrative that Jude was solely responsible for P-Square's career ascent. He insisted that the family's support for Peter and Paul began long before Jude's involvement, recalling how he personally sponsored them and used his car for their music promotion. "We would travel from state to state for music. They used my car for flyers. I did bodyguard with them. We were supporting them as a family, but we knew it was Peter and Paul that owned it," Henry stated.

According to Henry, Jude only joined the management after the twins had already achieved significant progress. He recounted his mother's warning about Jude's character, which she voiced when the family considered allowing him to manage the group. Henry alleged that after Jude took over, the brothers gradually grew distant from the rest of the family, attributing this alienation to Jude's influence.

Further detailing the alleged betrayal, Henry claimed he was promised 20% of the group's earnings for his early contributions but never received it. He recounted an incident where Jude dismissed his claim, questioning its basis and suggesting Henry would benefit even if the twins faced a plane crash. Henry also highlighted Jude's perceived lack of familial care, noting that Jude never called him during a two-month hospital stay, unlike Peter and Paul who remained in contact. He also pointed to their youngest sister's ongoing struggles in Lagos, which he feels are ignored by Jude.
