Ibon Navarro visits Red Star facilities, poses as new coach

Spanish coach Ibon Navarro has officially begun his tenure with Serbian basketball club Red Star Belgrade, visiting the team's facilities for the first time. Navarro, who arrives from Unicaja Malaga, was pictured posing as the club's new head coach.

During his visit to Belgrade, Navarro met with club directors to discuss initial plans for the upcoming season. He toured key locations, including the historic Mali Kalemegdan site, the training facilities, and the club offices, culminating in a visit to his new workplace, the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall.

Navarro concluded a successful four-and-a-half-year stint with Unicaja Malaga, where he became the most decorated coach in the club's history. His trophy cabinet includes two FIBA Champions League titles, two Intercontinental Cups, two Copa del Rey titles, and one Spanish Super Cup.

The Serbian club also announced the recent appointment of Serbian basketball legend Milos Teodosic as their new sporting director. Navarro will also reunite with American guard Tyson Carter, whom he previously coached for a season in Malaga.
