ICPC Boss: Integrity in Public Administration Key to Anti-Corruption Fight, Economic Stability

The head of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has stressed that true progress in the fight against corruption hinges on embedding integrity within public administration. He asserted that merely arresting and prosecuting offenders is insufficient; a more robust approach is needed to bolster institutions and systems capable of preventing corrupt practices.

According to the ICPC boss, Mohammed Idris, the anti-corruption campaign must evolve beyond punitive measures. It requires a fundamental strengthening of governmental bodies and administrative frameworks to create an environment where abuse is actively prevented. This institutional reform is presented as key to achieving lasting economic stability.
