Police arrest two suspected drug dealers, recover 132 tramadol sachets

The Delta State Police Command has arrested two individuals suspected of dealing drugs, seizing 132 sachets of tramadol. The arrests were made during a stop-and-search operation along Nnebisi Road in Asaba.

Police Public Relations Officer Bright Edafe stated that patrol team members attached to Operation Delta Shield intercepted a Toyota Hiace bus. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of the tramadol sachets and the apprehension of suspects Hillary Osondu and Abubakar Bello, both aged 54. The suspects are currently in custody, and an investigation is ongoing.

In a separate incident, operatives from the 'A' Division in Warri responded to a report of a stolen ash-coloured 2003 Toyota Corolla. Detectives, in collaboration with the Dragon Patrol Team, launched an operation that resulted in the vehicle's recovery along Winners Church Road in Ughelli within two hours of the report. Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend those connected to the theft.

State Commissioner of Police Yemi Oyeniyi praised the operatives for their swift response. He urged officers across the command to maintain momentum through proactive and intelligence-led policing. The CP also encouraged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious persons or activities, assuring them that the command would continue deploying resources to prevent and detect crime.
