Idaho In-N-Out Shooting Victims Identified; Motive Unknown

Authorities have identified the three individuals killed in a shooting at an In-N-Out restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, on August 1, 2026. The victims were named as Ashley Garibay, 23, of Stockton, California; Dale Schultz, 66, of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Christopher Claunch, 59, of Hagerman, Idaho. Seven other people sustained injuries during the attack.

Her family described her as an "amazing, beautiful soul who loved living life," noting her adventurous spirit and determination.

Witnesses recounted a chaotic scene, with some hearing shots from the kitchen and others seeing people fleeing the restaurant as a shooter was reported.

An off-duty state trooper and a civilian reportedly fired at the gunman, diverting him from the restaurant and potentially preventing further casualties, according to Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks. The investigation into the motive behind the tragic event is ongoing.
