IDF to demolish home of terrorist who killed 18-year-old Yehuda Sherman in March West Bank attack

The Israeli military has issued a notice of intent to demolish the West Bank home of Duas Hasson, the alleged perpetrator of a car ramming attack that killed 18-year-old Yehuda Sherman in March. The military's Central Command Chief, Maj.-Gen. Avi Bluth, signed the notice, which was initially delivered on Friday. Hasson is accused of intentionally ramming his pickup truck into the rear of Sherman's vehicle near the village of Beit Umrin, causing it to fall off a cliff. Both Sherman and another passenger were ejected, leading to Sherman's death. Hasson, a resident of Beit Umrin, reportedly drove towards the road after hearing that Israeli settlers were heading toward the village.

On May 14, Hasson was indicted for Sherman's murder. Additional charges include intentionally causing the death of two other individuals, obstruction of justice, and illegal possession of weapons. Prosecutors are seeking an extension of his detention until the conclusion of his legal proceedings. The military confirmed the intent to demolish the home on Sunday.
