Im Chang-jung to Release New Song 'Tat Tat Tat' Fusing EDM with Semi-Trot

South Korean singer Im Chang-jung is set to release his new digital single, "Tat Tat Tat," on July 4. The song marks a venture into the semi-trot genre, infused with electronic dance music (EDM) elements.

According to his agency, JJ Star, "Tat Tat Tat" is characterized by its upbeat rhythm and an addictive chorus, designed to be an "older brother's pack폭 (direct criticism) cheering song." The combination of a lively beat, an easy-to-sing melody, and Im Chang-jung's signature powerful vocals is expected to captivate listeners.

This new release sees Im Chang-jung collaborating once again with longtime musical partner, composer Wolf. The duo has previously produced hit songs such as "Cheesy Ballad," "What's Difficult Isn't Love," and "That Day Without Anything Special." With "Tat Tat Tat," they are expanding their musical territory into the trot genre.

Im Chang-jung plans to unveil "Tat Tat Tat" live for the first time at his concert, "2026 Im Chang-jung Concert: Singing Our Time Again," held in Seongnam on the day of the single's release.

Im Chang-jung debuted as an actor in the 1990 film "The South" and launched his music career in 1995 with his first full-length album. He has since released numerous hit songs, including "Soju One Glass," "The Love I Committed," and "Ordinary Song," solidifying his status as a versatile entertainer.
