IMA Agro-Fairs to Offer Low-Cost Staple Foods Across Panama on Thursday

The Institute of Agricultural Marketing will continue its agro-fairs on Thursday, Sept. 3, giving residents access to staple foods at low prices.

The fairs will begin at 8 a.m. and offer products including rice, beans, pasta, oil, salt, bread, sugar, grains, vegetables, eggs, tortillas, chicken, plantains, meat, apples and other fruits.

In Coclé, the event will take place at the Jujucal Local House in Piedras Gordas, in the district of La Pintada. Veraguas will host fairs at the Alto Tovalico Community House in Quebrada de Oro, Soná, and at the Monjarás Community House in Calobre.

Other locations include the Capira Auditorium in Panama Oeste; the Santo Domingo Community Court in Bugaba, Chiriquí; Las Madres Park in Pedregal, Panama district; and the La Ocho community in Torti, Chepo, in eastern Panama.

Additional fairs are scheduled at the Municipal Court in Tonosí, Los Santos; the Cerro Algodón soccer field in Dikeri, Muna, in the Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca; Casa Tacita de Oro in Parita, Herrera; and the grounds of the Puerto Pilón Community Board in Colón.
