IMA Agroferias: Find Out Where They Will Be Held This Friday

The Institute of Agricultural Marketing (IMA) is continuing its "agroferias" initiative across Panama, offering basic consumer goods at reduced prices. These markets aim to provide the public with access to essential items like rice, beans, pasta, oil, salt, bread, sugar, grains, vegetables, eggs, tortillas, chicken, plantains, meats, apples, and various fruits.

For Friday, August 14, the IMA has announced specific locations and times for these agroferias. They will commence at 8:00 a.m. in several provinces and regions. In Chiriquí, the market will be held at the grounds of the Municipality of Remedios. Panama Oeste will host events at the Cerro Cama Amphitheater in La Chorrera and in front of the Burunga Primary School in Arraiján.

Further locations include the Naso Tjër Di Comarca, specifically in the Bonyic community along the Teribe River. In Veraguas, markets are scheduled for the Main Park of Las Palmas and the La Foresta B Transport Terminal in Santiago. Colón will see an agroferia at the Central Park of Nuevo Chagres in Providencia, while Darién's event will take place at the MIDA Agency in Meteti, Pinogana.

Additional sites are set for Bocas del Toro at the Fairgrounds in Rambala, Chiriquí Grande district, and in Panama City itself, at the grounds of the Governorate in Calidonia. The IMA's ongoing effort through these agroferias seeks to alleviate the cost of living for Panamanians by making staple goods more affordable and accessible.
