In Photos: Guests Gather for Amigos del Fernández Blanco’s Magnificent Party at Mansión Estrugamou

Mansión Estrugamou became the Casa Girondo for one night as Amigos del Fernández Blanco hosted a benefit ball inspired by the 1930s and the world of poet Oliverio Girondo.

The gathering brought together Walter D’Aloia Criado, president of Amigos del Fernández Blanco, museum supporters, cultural officials and prominent guests. Among those photographed were Inés Etchebarne Mihanovich, a major patron of the association, Buenos Aires Culture Minister Gabriela Ricardes and Helena Ferronato, the city’s museums manager.

Guests followed an elaborate dress code. Dafne Cejas de Pradère Castex wore a strapless Giaccobe design with Chantilly lace, crystal detailing and a stole, while Antonella Graeff appeared in a Giaccobe look. Sara María Argañaraz Escasany wore a special design by Laurencio Adot, and María Inés “Minnie” Firpo de Peralta Ramos arrived in a century-old kimono.

The evening also included a cocktail in the mansion’s gardens, performances and a setting designed to evoke the Girondo residence. Andrés Pradère Castex hosted the event with his family, while diplomatic guests included Spain’s ambassador, Joaquín María de Arístegui Laborde, and his wife, China Crespo Lasso de la Vega. The benefit supported the Fernández Blanco Museum.
