INAMICE 2026 Promotes Digital Transformation to Strengthen Jakarta's Smart Economy

The Indonesia MICE Conference and Exhibition (INAMICE) 2026 convened as a strategic forum for industry stakeholders, centering on the theme “Empowering Jakarta’s Smart Economy through Digital Transformation in the MICE Industry.” The event highlighted the critical role of digital advancements in bolstering Jakarta's burgeoning smart economy.

Data from Jakarta Smart City reveals the substantial economic impact of the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry, noting that a single MICE event can generate transactions exceeding Rp 14.3 trillion through business-to-business and business-to-consumer schemes. This underscores the sector's capacity not only to facilitate gatherings but also to stimulate economic activity, thereby enhancing the city's global competitiveness.

Adhitya Pratama Yudha Saputra, Head of the Data and Information Center for Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises, stated that the MICE industry serves as a vital link connecting local businesses with the broader economy. He pointed out that each event creates opportunities across various supporting sectors, including catering, fashion, merchandise, printing, and digital technology.

Saputra further emphasized that digital transformation is foundational for the MICE industry in the digital economy era. He explained that technology enables more efficient and intelligent event management, encompassing registration, artificial intelligence, data analytics, QRIS payments, and hybrid event formats. The future vision for Jakarta includes the development of a comprehensive 'Smart MICE' ecosystem. The conference featured plenary sessions with industry experts discussing the strategic position of MICE in national economic development.
