Incheon issues evacuation order near Coupang logistics center due to fire, collapse risk

An evacuation order has been issued for areas within 116 meters of the Coupang logistics center in Incheon, South Korea, as a fire continues to rage for a second day. The order comes amid concerns about the potential collapse of parts of the facility.

The evacuation zone includes commercial and factory areas south of the Coupang center, but authorities have confirmed that no residential areas are within the affected radius. The decision to issue the evacuation order was made after a situation assessment meeting, which considered the risks of structural failure.

Firefighting efforts are concentrated on preventing the fire's spread, with specialized equipment deployed to control the blaze. Firefighters are also working to contain the fire from the ramp area, which serves as an entrance and exit to the facility.
