Indian Embassy in Kuwait celebrates 80 years of Independence, unites community

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait marked India's 80th Independence Day with a vibrant celebration that united the Indian diaspora and local dignitaries. Ambassador Paramita Tripathi spearheaded the festivities, commencing with a solemn tribute to freedom fighters and Mahatma Gandhi at the Shilaphalakam memorial.

The ceremony resonated with patriotic fervor as attendees participated in the mass singing of "Vande Mataram" and the national anthem, "Jana Gana Mana." Ambassador Tripathi unfurled the Indian flag and delivered the President of India's Independence Day address, which underscored the nation's progress and its vision for inclusive development under 'Viksit Bharat 2047.'

Tripathi emphasized the deep-rooted, mutually respectful relationship between India and Kuwait, acknowledging the significant contributions of the Indian community to Kuwait's society. The global 'India@80' celebrations were further amplified through initiatives like the 'Surya Path Tiranga' global relay and engaging activities such as 'Selfie with Tiranga' and 'Har Ghar Tiranga.'

Prior to the main event, the embassy organized a series of community-focused activities, including creative campaigns, photography, and painting competitions centered on the theme 'Viksit Bharat 2047.' Winners were recognized and awarded certificates by the Ambassador, with selected artworks displayed at the embassy. The celebrations concluded with a "Swachhata Hi Seva" cleanliness drive, reinforcing values of civic responsibility and collective action.
