Indonesia: 13 pesticide sprayers distributed to farmers in Indramayu-Majalengka

PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (Persero), or PPI, has donated 13 pesticide sprayers to farmer groups (Gapoktan) in the Indramayu and Majalengka regencies of West Java. The distribution, which took place on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, is part of PPI's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

The initiative is designed to enhance the productivity and efficiency of farming activities for farmers in the working area of PPI's Madya Cirebon Branch. According to Eka Noprizal, Acting Head of the Corporate Secretariat and CSR at PPI, the assistance was provided to three Gapoktan groups spread across both regencies. "This program is a follow-up to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Number 8, concerning Decent Work and Economic Growth, through efforts to increase productivity in the agricultural sector in the region," Eka stated in a written release in Jakarta.

Noprizal expressed hope that the agricultural equipment would improve the effectiveness of farming practices among Gapoktan members. He added that the program also serves as a form of support for farmer welfare and strengthens partnerships with farmer groups within PPI's operational area. "Besides being a form of social concern, this program is also an effort by PPI to strengthen partnerships with farmers who use Dharmabrand products," he noted.

The distribution event also included a 'One Day Sales' (ODS) program, intended to foster interaction with farmers and encourage the use of Dharmabrand products in the field. PPI hopes this sprayer assistance will yield tangible benefits for farmers, particularly in boosting their productivity and work efficiency, thereby contributing to the economic development of the community in the Madya Cirebon Branch's working area.
