Indonesia Appoints New Deputy Attorney General and Top Prosecutors

Indonesia's Attorney General, Sanitiar Burhanuddin, has officially appointed several high-ranking officials within the Attorney General's Office. The appointments, which include Asep Nana Mulyana as the new Deputy Attorney General and Kuntadi as the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, were made following a Presidential Decree.

During the ceremony, Attorney General Burhanuddin provided directives to the newly appointed officials. "We, the newly appointed officials, are to implement various policy directions from the Attorney General, and we have also been asked by him to carry out synergy and coordination across fields, including internally, which is necessary for future tasks," stated Asep Nana Mulyana at the Attorney General's Office.

The appointments are a direct follow-up to a Presidential Decree that outlines several new positions within the Attorney General's Office. The decree, approved by President Prabowo Subianto, also confirmed Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak as the Junior Attorney General for General Crimes, Herli Siregar as the Head of the Education and Training Agency, and Patris Yusrian Jaya as the Head of the Asset Recovery Agency.
