Indonesia braces for rain and clouds across multiple cities, BMKG reports

Indonesia is set for a day of varied weather as the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts rain across numerous cities on Saturday. Residents are advised to remain aware of potential weather changes, especially those planning outdoor activities.

Moderate rainfall is anticipated in Serang and Nabire. Meanwhile, light rain is expected to grace cities in western Indonesia, including Banda Aceh, Medan, Tanjung Pinang, Padang, Bengkulu, Palembang, Pontianak, and Tanjung Selor. The agency also predicts light rain for eastern Indonesian cities such as Mamuju, Palu, Kendari, Ambon, Sorong, Manokwari, Jayapura, Jayawijaya, and Merauke.

Beyond the rain, many major cities will experience cloudy to heavily cloudy skies. However, specific warnings have been issued for Bandar Lampung, which may encounter hazy conditions, and Pekanbaru, which could face smoke or fog. These localized conditions require extra caution for commuters and residents.
