Indonesia: Danamon Bank delivers aid to earthquake survivors in NTT

Humanitarian aid continues to reach communities in Indonesia's Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) province, still displaced by a recent earthquake. The Danamon Bank's Regional Bali and Nusa Tenggara team delivered essential supplies to survivors in Maurole District on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

The aid package contained vital necessities such as rice, blankets, tarpaulins, eggs, instant noodles, biscuits, and mineral water. This contribution represents Danamon's commitment to supporting the basic needs of those affected by the earthquake that struck NTT on August 15, 2026. The earthquake, centered near Mbay in Nagekeo Regency, caused casualties, injuries, and significant damage to infrastructure.

To aid post-disaster recovery efforts, Danamon's team procured and distributed supplies to Maurole, Reok, and Cibal districts. The distribution was carefully coordinated with local government and disaster management agencies to ensure the aid met the community's specific needs. I Gusti Agus Indrawan, Regional Corporate Officer for Danamon Bali & Nusra, expressed sympathy and support, stating, "We hope the community's condition can recover quickly and that various field handling efforts can continue to proceed well."

Indrawan added that Danamon aims to assist the community in meeting its fundamental needs and support the post-disaster recovery process. The distributed aid is intended to fulfill basic requirements, provide temporary shelter, and support the operation of communal kitchens in the affected areas. The bank emphasized the importance of coordination with local authorities for effective and targeted distribution.
