Indonesia Launches 2026 Economic Census in Yogyakarta with 4,082 Staff Surveying 606,000 Businesses

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) has initiated the 2026 Economic Census across the Special Region of Yogyakarta, deploying a significant workforce to gather crucial economic data. The comprehensive survey commenced on June 15 and is scheduled to conclude on August 31, 2026.

To facilitate the extensive data collection process, BPS has mobilized 4,082 dedicated personnel. These enumerators will be responsible for surveying approximately 606,000 business entities operating within the region.
