Indonesia: No Discussion Yet on Agriculture Deputy Minister Replacement

The Indonesian government has not yet begun discussions regarding a successor for Sudaryono in his former role as Deputy Minister of Agriculture. This comes after Sudaryono's recent appointment as the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).

Regarding the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture, it has not been discussed so far. It only happened yesterday.

Minister Secretary of State Prasetyo Hadi confirmed that the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture has not been a subject of discussion within the government. He noted that Sudaryono's transition to the BGN occurred very recently.

Sudaryono replaces Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, who resigned from her position as Head of BGN citing health reasons, specifically the need to focus on heart treatment. Deyang, a long-time supporter of President Prabowo, used her social media to express her gratitude and defend the free nutritious meal program, stating it was not politically motivated.
