Indonesia's Attorney General's Office replaces 90 district prosecutors

Indonesia's Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) has conducted a large-scale reshuffling, replacing 90 district prosecutors (Kepala Kejaksaan Negeri - Kajari) across the archipelago. This significant rotation is part of an effort to promote and refresh the organization, aiming to enhance legal services and enforcement for the public. The decision is formalized in a decree signed by the Deputy Attorney General for Development, Hendro Dewanto. The Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) for Kejagung, Anang Supriatna, confirmed the widespread personnel changes. "Yes, this is a process of mutation, part of promotion and organizational refreshment to continue improving services and law enforcement for the community," Anang told reporters. The extensive list of replacements includes prosecutors in key cities and regions such as Purwakarta, Paser, Bogor, Magelang, Gunung Kidul, Karangasem, Badung, Tanggamus, and Jayawijaya, among many others. Each position has seen a new appointee taking over from the previous incumbent. This move signifies a major administrative action within the Indonesian judicial system, impacting numerous legal offices nationwide. The stated purpose is to ensure continued effectiveness and dynamism within the prosecution service.
