Indonesia's BPIP Urges Strengthening Pancasila Values Amidst Development

The Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) has called on the community in Jembrana Regency, Bali, to reinforce Pancasila values as the region experiences accelerated development and increased investment. BPIP highlighted the importance of strengthening character and improving human resource quality to ensure local residents become the primary drivers of this progress.

During a Pancasila Ideology Socialization event in Jembrana, BPIP Head Yudian Wahyudi stated that economic development must be synchronized with the cultivation of strong community character. He cautioned that regional progress would not yield optimal benefits without adequate human resource preparedness. "Development will succeed if the community has a strong character. Pancasila teaches us to maintain unity, help each other, respect differences, and ensure that progress is felt by all," Wahyudi said, warning against development that causes people to lose their way or detach from their values.

Wisnu Bawa Tenaya, Secretary of the BPIP Steering Committee, underscored the vital role of education in preparing young generations for change. He urged that Jembrana's children grow into intelligent and well-mannered individuals, emphasizing honesty, discipline, a passion for learning, and empathy. This significant task, he noted, rests with teachers and parents.

Arya Wedakarna, a member of the Indonesian Regional Representative Council (DPD RI), advised Jembrana residents to enhance their capabilities to capitalize on emerging economic opportunities. He foresaw significant future potential for Jembrana, with numerous economic prospects, job openings, and new activities. "Therefore, the community must improve its abilities, master technology, and strengthen education to benefit from the changes. Locals should not merely be spectators in their own home," Arya urged.
